Purely Indulgent

With my photography deadline looming it's ugly head (tomorrow, eeeeek!) I had to go into town to get my last minute final prints sorted - and I ended up spending more money on printing photos than on my trip to London next week!
And the spending spree didn't stop there... we found some sort of medieval market going on in the square. And in the midst of Eco-friendly clothing, ornate jewellery, fruity jams in glass jars, wiry statuettes, and all the Victorian-dressed towns folk frolicking around, we found fairy cakes! You can tell my heritage is wasted on me.... but look how pretty!

They're by a company called 'Pure Indulgence', a tad pricey if you're a sugar-craving teen like moi, but if you've got an event coming up they'd be.... well, the icing on the cake ;) www.pureindulgencecakes.co.uk/
Geez, with a giant cookie the other day and now onto glittering fairy cake bliss, I'll be signing on for dentures in no time!

My song for the day is "You and I Collide" by Howie Day. I'm not in a mellow mood or anything, it's simply beautiful t'is all. Also, listen to "Pull Shapes" by the Pippettes it's more upbeat, retro-pop ;)
Hope you're all having a lovely week!

p.s. To my darling art buddies Rosanna and Grace - I miss you already! And my dear drama buddies - it feels like an end of an era :( Mr Betterton would not approve!

Millie's and Mannequins

Shannon and myself went to town this afternoon to get a Millie's celebration cookie. We're celebrating because it's our drama exam tomorrow - which means the final performance of our play, and the end of yr 12 drama, wehey! So what better way to mark this mementos occasion than with a gorgeously decadent, excessively overpriced *cough, cough* slice of cookie heaven?

It's meant to say 'Playhouse Creatures 2010', though from this angle it looks like 'Playboose Crackures 200", but for something that tastes so good, appearance isn't really an issue.

Whilst waiting for our cookie to be made we popped into Topshop. I found a gold display mannequin that was my exact height and size - which I felt ever so slightly tempted to wander off with... not that I would.... but it would've been pretty funny to watch back on CCTV; I'd simply disguise it with my coat, an over-sized hat, and maybe a moustache (classic for mysterious get away scenes) and they would have been none the wiser... until the alarm went off and the swat teams came out - ascending from the ceiling at all angles, dressed in black with tazers etc O_o

I ended up buying a pair of blue harem shorts. Excuse the picture quality (and my vacant expression :S haha) but you know how hard it is taking a blurry changing room photo. I love the lighting in their changing rooms though - my hair almost looks red :D tehehe.

I was given a free canvas shopper too, which I'm pretty excited about - mostly cuz it was free, although I felt a bit like a walking advertisement.

Can't remember when I last saw you laughing

Your true coulours are beautiful like a rainbow :)

We had a little picnic earlier in the week and Paul bought us these lovely fairycakes :)

nom-nom-nom.

It's hard to tell someone that you miss them when you've been drifting apart for so long. I wish I was braver, so I could find a way to be honest with people without hurting them. I guess I've been reminiscing a lot lately, too much actually, but I'm gona start living in the moment from now on. Even if I end up in my ditzy day-dream world from time to time, which is a rather fascinating place if I say so myself ;) but I suppose you've got to get a little lost sometimes - to find answers to unanswerable questions and such, hehe.

The conversion of fear into bravery.

I think I've been brainwashed by consumerism...

I swore I'd never buy anything from Jack Wills because I don't agree with the stereotype associated with it and don't even get me started on the prices.... but I've been looking at their site a lot lately and feel increasingly drawn to some of their items. I like that it's all vintage university outfitters, but the whole point of being vintage isn't to dress like everybody else.

Oh dear... £20 for a pair of socks! pffft... then again I adore the socks / tights by miu miu which are like £250 - but they have real crystals sown into them! ;D ofcourse I'd only ever buy them if I won the lottery - giving me a '1 in a gazillion' chance of ever being able to afford those bedazzled masterpieces :(

Hehe, I might have to DIY a pair of socks with sequins - add a bit of glamour to my black & white wardrobe.

I bought a pack of strawberry bon-bons this week - they taste lovely but they're one of the most awkward candies you could possibly eat whilst trying to have a conversation with someone...
They're also very messy - I left the packet half open in my bag only to find the powder had gotten all over my books. What made it worse was that I opened my bag in the wind and the powder poofed into my face :O pshhh.
