It took me too long to think of a title so this one's gona have to do

What I'm Wearing; Shirt - Thrifted (£2.85), Vintage Levi Shorts - COW, Blazer - Debenhams sale (£15), Bowler hat - H&M, Brogues - Peacocks, Black ribbon - lying around the house, Badge - from a random jewellery shop (free!)

If you're wondering why the badge was free it wasn't because I used a cheeky five-fingered-discount, but because I bought a load of broken jewellery (for my college art project) and the woman behind the til was so grateful she let me have a set of faux military badges for free. Ah-woo-hoo!
Sorry for my moody expression in the last shot... and my daft posing in general, tehe. When the self timer starts flashing my brain fizzles out from normality, the realms of creativity seem to implode, leaving nothing but a kooky impulse pose and a dazed pout. So ermm, tah-dah!

I'm off to a pre-halloween sleepover soon - have a spook-tastic weekend everyone! ;)

Tapestry Bag.

Hello lovelies!
So I'm finally 18 and I'm totally overwhelmed with excitement for my next post! I won't tell you why just yet, but I think I'm in love...

In the mean time, I wanted to show you my darling tapestry bag which I bought from a vintage market stall the over summer. All my friends have seen me with it by now and I'll soon become notorious for parading it around absolutely everywhere...

I think the stall owner who sold it to me was Polish (he had such a cool accent!) and seemed really excited when I picked up the bag - he even made a serious effort to pitch it to me, little did he know my heart was already sold... for the bargain price of £4! Which undoubtedly kicks the high street versions in the bum-chika-wa-haa!
I'm a little VERY hyper-active right now 'cuz I've recently scoffed an entire Millie's birthday cookie... ooh I'm so bad, but that cookie was soo worth it ;)

Just because you know my name, doesn't mean you know my game

Me and Abi went to the art gallery today and popped down to the 'world's biggest photo booth' (which has it's own exhibit in the basement space) because it's leaving this week :( nawww, I'm really gona miss it.
Mr. Zebra joined us too - he's a total legend. You can see him at the back of most of the shots... tehe, I think he's supposed to be like the art gallery's mascot of something. He's a zebra of very few words, but I like to think he's just a good listener.

Afterwards we went round the vintage shops and I took some photos. If I didn't I think my camera would have felt a little neglected... sitting in my bag all day whilst myself and Abi posed and pouted for a bigger camera. It's like I was cheating with a bigger, flashier camera - seduced by it's smooth exterior and flashy hardware... ahaha.

We went to COW Vintage and found these pretty epic jackets. I had to show you this photo - purely because that level of awesome-ness just needs to be unleashed unto the world, or some fancy hoopla like that...

Sexy much? ... yeah, the jackets are nice too ;)

What's the craziest vintage find you've come across? I think these jackets are pretty high-ranking for me, they're totally ah-dorkable, hehe.

(p.s. 3 words... 'Chanel Mademoiselle Paris' << I need that fragrance in my life)

C'est millésime!

This is one of my more vintage / eclectic looks... It was one of those rare days when the sun decided to show it's face, yet I decided to stay indoors, with Elle magazine and Audrey Hepburn (in Breakfast at Tiffany's) for company ;)

Hope you've all had a nice weekend!

I'm now becoming like a self fulfilled prophecy

"TV taught me how to feel now real life has no appeal..." Oh how I love Marnia & the Diamonds ;)
Today's Anthem: 'LES Artistes' by Santogold.

I was supposed to start my art cwk 2weeks ago, but instead I started it last night... I hope my teacher's don't read this, but at least I'm being honest. I finally have some sort of direction for my new project, it's gona be like dreams / fairy tales (original right?) but with a slightly darker twist, so I'll be using stuff like dead flowers, burnt letters and story pages, light & shadow, cut-out silhouettes and the characters trying to escape their tales.
So far this is all I've done but I'm pretty happy with it...

The shoes in the picture above are my most recent purchase. They're from TOPSHOP and I've been lusting after them for the past two months. So I went to Topshop on Thursday in the hope of finally buying them, only to find out that they'd SOLD OUT! I was flabbergasted! Seriously, that was the only way to describe it! So I ask the shop assistant if they'll have any more coming in and she said it was really unlikely, but she offered to call the other store and see if they had any left. I stood there with baited-breath as she dialed the number... they had one pair left... ONE PAIR.... and they were my size!!! It was like fate was calling to me! So I dashed down to the other store and retrieved my darlings. So here they are, in all their glory....

Oooh I'm so happy! Hope you're all having a lovely weekend!

Life is a maze and love is a riddle

The lovely Abigail and I went to a vintage fair today at a place called 'Spanky Van Dykes'
It was packed to the roof; with stylish students hectically thrifting their way around from stall to stall, silk scarfs bursting out of wicker hampers and wrapped around floral lampshades, vintage purses and belts piled triumphantly on top of a brown leather sofa, fairy lights draped across the walls above endless rails of vintage clothes (accompanied by that vintage smell ;)

I bought a vintage brooch, and an adorable little necklace shaped like an envelope - with a little brass letter inside reading 'I love you'. I'd seen necklaces like that before selling for about £15, however my dears I managed to blag this little beauty for £8 - bargain!

Afterwards we spent like 3hours in Cafe Nero... as this shot was taken we both shouted 'Naa Na Nieeyy!' and burst into a fit of giggles, purely because it was just 'one of those moments' tehe. << I simply had to share that with you :')

Hope you're all having a nice weekend!

Through a stranger's eyes I'm everything but myself

I've got Paramore's "Turn it off" running through my head at the moment;
"I'm watching everyone I looked up to break and bending, it's getting harder to believe in anything than just to get lost in all my selfish thoughts..."
Gotta love Paramore - I have their RIOT poster on my bedroom door. It's upside down... the poster, not the door. It fell off a while ago and my mum put it back up the wrong way. At first I couldn't be bothered to fix it, but then I decided I actually prefer it that way :')
Just thought I'd share that little fact with you.

Anywayz, I went for a rumble through my grandparent's wardrobe yesterday. It's the best place to find vintage things really, and guess what?? No price tags! Wehey!
I'm practically broke right now, but I'm a shopping addict and I've got a week of spending (money I don't have) up ahead.
Eeeeeeep, I wonder if there's such a thing as shopaholics anonymous? Apparently there's a hot line for people who are addicted to jaffa cakes, not sure if it's true or not, but I think that's pretty awesome if it is ;)

Here's what I wore / unearthed from the closet...

My gran let me keep the bag! Awww she's adorable. I keep showing my friends pictures of her, she's got that 'regally photogenic' thing going on, haha. Yeah, I love my gran.
You know who else I love? You guys! Thanks so much for following - your comments make my day :')
T.T.F.N you beautiful people!

Nothing in particular.

Well yesterday I took time off from my 'oh so busy' schedule of doing nothing, to actually do some revision.
Whoopdeedoo, my life is soo dull.
I'm now in the process of making a brooch. I went to the haberdashery this morning to pick up some lace to customise a black clutch bag too. If it turns out ok I'll post pictures at a later date.

Anywhoo, here's what I wore today... Inspiration from here. :)

* My darling cloche hat - Acessorize @ Monsoon £25
(I know it's expensive for a hat, but I fell helplessly in love with it and simply couldn't resist ;)
* Blazer - 2nd hand
* Skirt - thrifted
* Black lace tights - £8
* Shoes - £7 thrift

I wish I was brave enough to cut my hair like a 1920s flapper. I'm actually really sick of it at this length... it's not short, it's not long, it's just kinda 'there'. I also considered dying it red. I don't know how dark, maybe the same shade as a postbox? tehe.
Sorry about ranting, it's just soo frustrating!

Wow. I love vintage photographs. I found some old photos from my grandparents wedding that I thought I'd share with you...

Hope you're all having a nice week!
